's General Terms and Conditions

1. General provisions

1.1 Scope of application
The following terms and conditions apply to all contracts concluded by Petit Couteau AG for the organization of events and to all related services and deliveries.
1.2 Conclusion of contract
Der Vertrag kommt erst durch schriftliche Bestätigung (E-Mail reicht) von der Petit Couteau AG an den Veranstalter zustande. Der Veranstalter und die Petit Couteau AG sind Vertragspartner. Die Untervermietung oder sonstige Überlassung der vereinbarten Räume und Flächen an Dritte bedarf der vorherigen schriftlichen Zustimmung der Petit Couteau AG. Kurzfristige Änderungen zum Vertrag, wie zBsp. die definitive Anzahl Personen werden <7 Tage nicht berücksichtig und dementsprechend vollumfänglich verrechnet.

2. Prices, invoicing, and payment

2.1 Prices
The prices for our services can be found in your confirmation. The use of additional services will be charged separately according to scope and effort.
2.2 Invoicing
All prices are quoted in Swiss francs and include the applicable value added tax. Prices are subject to change without notice. The invoice will be sent by email within 10 days after the event.
2.3 Disposal
Each organizer is responsible for ensuring that packaging, advertising material, and other materials brought to the event are taken away again.

3. Withdrawal by the organizer

If the contract is terminated in writing by the organizer, the organizer shall in any case be liable for the services and expenses already incurred by Petit Couteau AG.

Additional provisions in case of cancellation:

  • Up to 1 month before the event, 50% of the minimum consumption will be charged.
  • Up to 1 week before the event, 80% of the minimum consumption will be charged.

4. Withdrawal Petit Couteau AG

If Petit Couteau AG has reason to believe that the event jeopardizes the smooth running of its business or the safety of its employees and/or guests, it is entitled to terminate the contract at any time without notice and without compensation to the organizer or third parties involved in the contract by withdrawing from the contract.

5. Use

Use must be in accordance with the usual duty of care and exclusively for the agreed purpose. In particular, no hazardous materials may be brought onto the premises. No highly flammable materials may be used for decorative purposes.

5.2 Times

In order to guarantee that every event runs smoothly, the agreed times must be adhered to. If the times are exceeded, the resulting additional costs will be charged.

Extensions will be charged as follows:

Until midnight: $150/hour and MA
After midnight: $250/hour and MA

6. Liability

The organizer is liable to Petit Couteau AG for all damage and loss caused by event participants. Petit Couteau AG accepts no liability for theft or damage to objects, clothing, and materials brought to the event. Petit Couteau AG assumes no obligation to guard or store such items. Petit Couteau AG also accepts no liability for personal injury.

7. Safety regulations

The organizer is responsible for ensuring that no more people are admitted than the agreed capacity or the maximum agreed capacity.

Smoking is prohibited on the premises of Petit Couteau AG and in generally accessible areas of the building. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas—this area is normally located on the marked terrace.

The instructions of Petit Couteau AG management must be followed. In the event of violations of the General Terms and Conditions or management instructions, Petit Couteau AG reserves the right to cancel the event.

8. Place of jurisdiction | Applicable law

These General Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Bern.
